CAN Namekians eat?

Namekians don't need food, they only need to drink water to survive and thrive. But are they capable of eating, or do their bodies fail to process solids? If Piccolo ate something, would his body extract the water in it and sustain him, pass it through entirely, or force him to throw it up?

What about non-water liquids? Can Piccolo survive off fruit juice, or beer?

Also: Senzu Beans are magic, they don't count.

Side Q: How does this work culturally? Do Namekian families have "meal time" where they all get together and drink their dinner water? Are there Namekian "chefs" who make just the absolute best cucumber water? They're slugs or something, do you think they ever drink salt water because they like the burn, like we do with hot peppers?
