Health
I have a bump on the bottom of my tongue. I haven’t had any systematic symptoms such as fever or headache but I started worrying about herpes. What are the chances that I would have a new herpes (specifically HSV 2) infection of the mouth? It could possible be a canker sore. I haven’t had any trouble swallowing either. However, I was still wondering what the likelihood of an HSV 2 infection of the mouth is. If this was an initial herpes outbreak how would the symptoms present? Would it really be this mild or would I know for sure?
Edit: I have already been diagnosed with genital HSV1 and have only ever had one outbreak a few months back. During that initial episode I had mild headache and swollen lymph nodes and the sores were very painful.
