People Add Realism To Adora And Catra's Relationship But Not Others

Does it bother you that people use realism for Adora and Catra's relationship but not others? I mean in real life there is a good chance they would be be a toxic couple but it should be noted that in ATLA Aang becomes best friends with Zuko, someone who chased him around the world trying to capture him and at one point sent an assassin to kill him. Realistically speaking, I don't think many people would become best friends with the guy who tried to capture and later tried to kill them.
