I'm interested in being a Mortician, I'm looking for tips
I've been interested in being a mortician for along time. I would like to look into what I need to do to become one. How much schooling does it take? How long after school are you an apprentice? Do apprentices get paid while being trained? How much does a Mortician make? Like many I do have to pay my bills and I'm sure school will make it hard to go to work. So as much as I'd like to be in this field I also have to make sure I can make it work financially to. Any information or tips would be great. If it helps I live in Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh. Thank you
Oh, I thought I would add. I am a CNA and have been for along time. I've seen many aspects of the medical field. Oncology, Emergency Room, Nursing Homes, etc. I've seen many deceased people including preparing them to go to the morge, and it never bothered me. I love procedure based work more then anything. So working on the bodies is the part I'm most interested in. I'm not religious or know anything about any religions. So I didn't know if I needed to know any of that.
