Is Rust concurrency good for possibly thousands of concurrent users?
I've been looking at different languages (Go, Elixir, and Rust) to handle concurrency for thousands of users at any given time. Go has goroutines and Elixir has process which, from I've read, are lightweight so you can just spawn a bunch of them and pay it no mind. Rust threads uses OS threads for concurrency but I don't know if it's heavier or lighter than the ones in the other two so I don't know if spawning possibly a thousands of them is a good idea. I'm also aware that Rust has async features (through third party runtimes such as tokio), maybe this could be better than using threads explicitly.
