T530 Prospective Buyer Questions

Hello folks,

Set my eye on a T530 but I have reservations.

I am not a power user. I would use it for Word, bit of internet, watching films and the like. I want a solid machine that is reliable.

The 1600x900 TN panel. Has anybody experienced eyestrain from this panel, whichever model that may be? I got a T430 a few weeks back and returned it, had a 1600x900 panel, and it killed my eyes like nothing I've else. The merest head tilt washed out text. They truly are that bad, and this comes from someone who is content with TN panels. I should have believed them when they told me.

What is the audio jack quality like? I know the speakers won't be up to much and that's okay. I mostly use headphones. Obviously I could buy a USB DAC but I'd rather not. I was content with the T430's audio output, jack and speakers, nonetheless, my mother has a W530 and the jack quality is pure dogshit. The first ever cassette player achieved more.

Thermals. I'm obsessive about keeping them temps down. For what I'll use it for I should hope this won't be an issue, i5 or i7. Is it simple enough to edit the BIOS and set the fan to run on mid to high all the time or via tpfancontrol? A constant whoosh of air blasting out doesn't bother me, even a mild whine to it doesn't. I have all the tinnituses.

Furthermore, which model is the quiet fan and heatsink? By quiet I mean that does not rev and grunt and pulsate. The T430 Toshiba fan did this and it did me nut in, unlike the W530 which is near silent and the thermals never hit above 54C, although I am unsure of the fan and heatsink model.
