Which Golf models have a handbrake?

I'm thinking of potentially buying a Golf R, but I heard the newer models only have that electronic parking brake. I would potentially get a GTI if it has a newer model with a handbrake, so if anyone could tell me the most recent models of both before the electronic brake was added that would be great. It's not a total deal breaker but I'm interested in trying rally with it so a handbrake would be ideal.
