Will Georgia Tech say if you're denied from the waitlist?

The Georgia Tech Waitlist update is supposed to be after May 2nd, but I've heard that actual info doesn't come until May 6thish via last year (recent post link). The admissions portal says nothing about being updated about rejection- and I do want to go to GT, but I don't want to save everything for a college that has already accepted me for last.

Anyone have any info?
