Free shuttles to Amicalola

Some of you may have seen my prior post early this year offering free shuttle rides to Amicalola (or Springer) for Thru hikers. It was my way of giving back because so many people gave freely when I was on my thru. I like being one of, if not the, first trail Angeles you encounter. I look forward to helping out again in 2023.

I also want to say hello to all the Thru hikers I shuttled for free this year. ALL of you started at Amicalola this year.

It was really great getting to know all of you and your unique back stories. Some of you were experienced backpackers, but most of you had little to no experience with long distance backpacking, especially with a trail as challenging as the AT.

I’m also thrilled to report that ALL of my Thru hikers are still on trail. Two of them didn’t meet until they got in my car, and they were still hiking together through Hot Springs last I heard from them.

I envy all of you who can be on trail, and I look forward to heading to Maine again as soon as I can.

If you’re planning on a NOBO in 2023, save my info. Send me a PM. I’ll try to shuttle as many peeps as I can. Weekends work best. So, plan accordingly.
