22 Civic Touring - delivery

TLDR: Out of state (800mi away) dealer agreed to reserve one of their allocations for me at msrp, and wondering what to expect with timelines.

Hi all. Happy to be finally part of the Honda family. I wanted to ask you guys what to expect from the ordering process. All of my local dealers were charging $4-5k markups, and the few I found in nearby states were selling at msrp but wouldn’t sell to out of state customers. From this whole experience, I’ve realized how much friendlier and genuine midwestern people are. My local dealer wouldn’t even let me order one.

Anyhow - I found a dealer about 800 miles away and they are selling at msrp with no gimmicks, just an additional $400 processing for out of staters and $3XX normal processing fee.

The car has been allocated to this dealer but not built yet. Expected delivery as I am told is early June. If I get lucky, late May. I filled out the credit application, sent them my license, insurance, and gave them my credit card for the deposit. I got a text in the evening saying that the car is mine.

What sort of timeline am I looking at? He told me that Civic timelines are accurate but Odyssey timelines are a mess. He said that they get updates every Monday from Honda and they let their customers know. I am super excited.
