Coping all the data on an android micro SD card to a larger micro SD card

My wifes Samsung Note 8 uses a 64GB MicroSD card and needs more room. I bought a 256Gb (sandisk) and want to copy all the files over. When using Windows explorer it would start but fail at some point (59GB of total data never got more than 50% transfer). I've never had this problem before but it happens on two seperate Win 10 computers. is there an easy way to image it over or create a reliable copy feature? I don't mind using separate software just don't want to pay a lot.
