From the management: New rules and new scheduled threads

Thanks to those who participated in our town hall a while back. The moderating team conferred to come up with a new set of rules for the subreddit. Most of these are rules you’re familiar with. Others have been added, clarified or expanded.

Zordon’s Three Rules: Be polite and do not encourage hostility. Never escalate a fight, and remember the report function. Personal attacks, including hate speech, are forbidden.

Yesterday Again: Posts must be interesting or worthy of discussion. Low-quality posts may be deleted at moderators’ discretion. These include tier lists, “who would win” questions, rumors, photos of you with actors and photos of toys you just bought (outside of haul threads).

No Clowning Around: Meme posts belong on r/MorphinMemes.

Silence is Golden: Mark all spoilers from the latest season and from the latest comic out, unmarked posts may be subject to a limited ban. No NSFW content will be allowed.

A Bad Reflection on You: Be judicious in posting your own content (podcasts, blog posts, art) and flair self-promotion and OC appropriately.

A Ranger Exclusive: Don’t post rumors and reports unless they are from verified or trusted sources.

Grid Connection: Limit all major discussions to the appropriate megathreads if you can.

Ishinomori Institute: This is not a Sentai or general tokusatsu sub. No purely Sentai threads/links. Consider going to r/supersentai or r/tokusatsu if your post would belong there.

Control-Alt-Delete: Auto-activated reddit bots will be banned.

Beware the Mutiny: Do not post links to pirated content. Do not discuss piracy here.

Scorpion Cartel: We are not a marketplace. Do not use this subreddit to conduct transactions.

As we change our rules, we are also changing our post flairs. New flair: Current Seasons, Past Seasons, Future Seasons, Comics, Fanmade, Toys, Games, News, Self-Promotion

We understand there are things we don’t allow in these rules that some people really want to post about. So we’re adding weekly discussion threads. Four days a week, we’ll have a different sticky up top. We’re going to look into automating it but, for now, one of our mods will make it each morning. And we’re trying to come up with a fifth.

Monday: Merch Haul/Check Out My Collection

Tuesday: Juice Bar (discussion on a topic of our choice, like favorite teamup, favorite fight, underappreciated characters–please give us suggestions)

Wednesday: Comic Thread, either talk about the new comic out or comics in general.

Friday: Fan Art Friday

We appreciate your understanding as we enact these new rules and thank you for participating on r/powerrangers. As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, the floor is open.

May the power protect you.
