Tremors, myoclonus/ involuntary jerks, twitches, and possible weakness
Hello everyone. I’m a 31 y/o F, with a history of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis of my back/ spine. About five months ago I started experiencing tremors and muscle twitches/ involuntary jerks that prevent me from sleeping without heavy sedation. It all got so insanely bad that I went to the ER but instead they set me up with a neuro. Did a full spinal mri, brain mri, EMG and NCS. My entire spine mri basically came back with a variety of problems- herniated discs and spinal stenosis in my cervical, one herniated disc in my thoracic, and one herniated disc in my L5/S1. My NCS showed evidence of pinched nerves in my cervical neck and bilateral arms.
I’ve been working out, and have lost weight since. However, my tremors are getting worse and I believe I’m starting to experience weakness in my left leg. My neuro believes all my symptoms are due strictly to my multiple herniated discs. But because I feel like they’re getting more severe in nature, I have a hard time believing him. What are your opinions?
Has anyone else had similar symptoms? I posted on this forum frequently about two months ago, and you guys really helped me get by- so please feel free to share if you’ve had similar symptoms/ experiences and how things turned out for you
Thank you in advance for reading this. Be well everyone!!
