RPI as NFS storage host?
A fair amount of my vms are currently residing on a Synology NAS running two WD reds in raid 1
I'm considering setting up my spare RPI4 as a NFS storage host with a 1 or 2tb Sata ssd.
I'm considering this for the following reasons.
- Diversifying storage of critical VMs vcenter, my primary DNS and primary DC would go on this, secondaries on the NAS. (These are currently on local storage and vmotioned around during host maint)
- Storage for vms that have too high of IO requirements for the HDD Nas (graylog fails to pull up indices if running on NAS)
