an unsignificant cancelled operation

You know I saved a burger for you,

You know, it was a vegetarian burger but..

I thought you would enjoy it and

appreciate it

more than I or my family would.

We bought it by mistake, that burger I mean.

(We got an extra burger)

And I mentioned it, I think I mentioned it twice, and

you know

my family didn't really go through with that

I guess it just wasn't important enough

You know,

actually, it definitely wasn't important enough.

To them, and maybe to

me

Unfortunately it didn't go through

I don't think the message was received

You know- maybe I wasn't loud enough,

And I feel sorry for you and

I'm sorry to them over there

For maybe

almost

appearing

self-righteous and self-serving to them

But the irony is, I'm helping myself to a serving of it here.

And not there,

with you

and clearly I'm the wrong person to be helping myself to it.

And, you know, I think he is, too.
