As someone with a relatively low income should marry my fiance or would that kill me in taxes, insurance, anything else that I'm not thinking?

Planning

As the question states, I live in the US, I'm a permanent resident my fiance lives in Mexico, we live close to the border, we are planning on getting married and living together, but, is it smarter to do it right now or wait till we save up some money so that we can put it into a house? Are my taxes higher as a married person? Since she has no income in the US, can I claim her as a dependent? I know we have to wait for a few months before her residency comes, so she wouldn't be able to get a job here for some time. How would that factor into the decision
