How is margin interest deducted?

Unsolved

I am just curious. This is a oversimplified example but if I have 15k in capital gains, spent 10k in margin interest, would that mean I only have 5k in taxable income. So if I have a tax rate of 20%. I would owe 1k in taxes.

Did I get that right?
