I can't get drunk? + Recommendations please

So I'm a 17 year old female from South Africa, turning 18 this year and I've never drank before tonight. Yes I had adult permission to drink and I was being supervised so it was legal and safe.

I feel like I was barely tipsy, just tired and a bit loopy.

Here's what I had to drink:

150ml Sherry 17% 3 shots gin 43%

I had dinner beforehand and I diluted it with coke to lessen the burning sensation. The whole point of drinking was to get drunk safely at home just to test it and I was quite disappointed when all I was, was tired afterwards. I drank it all in the span of maybe 1-2 hours, taking sips and playing drinking games with a friend.

Why does it feel like I couldn't get drunk? Did I not drink enough or what?

I'm also looking for drink recommendations for someone that doesn't like the strong taste of alcohol but still wants to get drunk. Thanks so much
