New Bicycle Commuter: Seeking Advice

Context; I 25[F] live in the Greater Twin Cities Area of Minnesota, US and recently sold my compact SUV and acquired a bike. It’s nothing special, Specialized standard city/commuter bike and everything is stock on it currently. Everywhere I need to commute to including work is within a 5mile radius. However, I am a novice city bike commuter and this will be my primary mode of transportation in the months without snow. Any advice, tips, accessories I should acquire before I hit the roads?
