How important was game 7 of the 2001 NBA Eastern Conference Finals for the legacies of Ray Allen and Allen Iverson?

First a rewind for both players/teams:

Philly hadn't made the playoffs in 5 years when they drafted AI 1st overall in the '96 draft. They still struggled his first 2 seasons, and lost to the Pacers in the 2nd round in '99 and '00. But the 2001 season was finally going to be different. MJ was gone, there wasn't a lockout season to contend with, so the eastern conference was going to be truly wide open for an 82 game season for the first time in recent memory.

AI and the 76ers cashed in on this opportunity too. He won his 2nd scoring title of his career, and at a questionable 6 feet tall, he grabbed MVP honors over giants like Duncan, Shaq, and KG. The 76ers finished with the best record in the East and finally beat the Pacers in the playoffs, and made it to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Bucks.

The Bucks hadn't made the playoffs in 4 years entering the '96 draft, and initially took Stephon Marbury before trading him to Minnesota for Ray Allen. Allen wasn't quite the prospect AI was coming out of college, but he was actually the Big East player of the year in '96. They Bucks struggled at first, and lost to the Pacers in the 1st round in '99 and '00.

Ray had established himself as one of the best sharpshooters in the league, and finally proved that he could be the center of an elite offense. The Bucks finished 1st in offensive rating, and finished with the 2nd best record in the East. Allen nabbed 3rd team All-NBA honors and finally beat the Pacers in the playoffs and made it to the Eastern Conference Finals against the 76ers.

The Bucks and 76ers split the first two games in Philly. AI was great in game 1, but shot 5/26 in game 2 allowing the Bucks to steal a game on the road. The teams then split the next two games in Milwaukee with neither team being able to score in game 3, and Ray Allen having an off night in game 4. So we are all tied up entering game 5.

Game 5 is back in Philly, and the Bucks get off to a hot start in the first half, but Philly is able to claw back into in the 3rd quarter. Eric Snow makes some key buckets late as AI and Allen are both off (as well as some costly turnovers by the Bucks), and Philly squeaks by 89-88.

Game 6 is a duel of the old Big East guards. Iverson scores 46 points and Ray scores 41 points, including a then-record tying 9 3 pointers. Milwaukee holds off a 46 point 4th quarter by the 76ers to win at home, and force a game 7.

Game 7 was close at first, but AI got hot in the 2nd quarter, and the 76ers took a lead that they never let go and eventually won the game 108-91.

But what if that game 7 had gone the other way?

What if we don't get the AI stepover in game 1 of the Finals? Does Philly keep Iverson around for the next 5+ years trying to recapture the magic of the '01 Finals run if it never happens? Does Iverson try to force his way out to a contender?

What if Ray Allen leads a team to the Finals before ever putting on a Celtics uniform? Does he get traded to Seattle in 2003 if he's the lead guy on a Finals team in 2001? Is he put on the Reggie Miller-level for 2 guards in the playoffs?

What other implications are there if this one game had gone the other way?
