[IWantOut] 26M Germany -> Canada or Netherlands
Hello,
My wife and I are both Software Engineers, and are from India. We are currently German Permanent residents & are considering 2 options to move out of Germany and settle down permanently. We are stuck between Canada and The Netherlands. We would like your help in deciding based on the following factors:
- Career and growth opportunities.
- Integrating with the society is very important. (We will learn Dutch & take all the effort needed to integrate into Dutch society)
- Housing (Looking to buy single family homes or row house with a fenced yard for our dog in a couple of years). We don't plan to stay in city centers.
- Healthcare quality and accessibility. We would like to invite our parents during summer and are okay with buying private health insurance.
- Causal tourism (30 days of overall travel per year INCLUDING WEEKENDS)
- Quality education and life for kids. We would like to provide them a well balanced childhood rather than the typical rat race in India.
- US is not an option for us. We also don't see us living in Germany for long term. I am already here for 5 years and would like to experience different countries. Luckily, my current job allows me to transfer to Canada / The Netherlands.
