Stress reaction and what kind of grip is this?
I was stressing over a mysterious small wound and it made me feel like I'm going to die soon because it may have been an unnoticed dog bite, even though I have never felt or seen a dog coming close to me, the only dog there was a sleeping/idle one that I have never touched. There were also soldiers there so if I was actually bitten, they would have seen it. But that made me stress a lot.
OK, this is the important part. My family said that while I was under stress, I was obsessing over that one thing, thinking irrationally and not being able to see the logic from a wider perspective, worrying that my family will lose hope in me and I'll lose all the opportunities. I was also unable to do the things that I would normally do and I was filled with fear of various things that may make me lose my life, such as getting punished, having things taken away from me, incurable diseases, etc. Normally, I would have a wider perspective of things, be more open to enjoying life, and be more capable of rational thought.
I think it may have been an Si grip due to obsessing over one thing, hypochondria, and the tunnel vision but the "irrational" part also suggests Ti inferior, or even Si-Ti loop in ISFJs, though this one is more like getting stuck in a rut of perfection rather than this stress state. I think Ne grip is also possible due to the fear of various things and thinking that my like won't be worth working towards it anymore. I think I have too much Si for it to be an Si grip, I remember personal things vividly and sensationally, and I'm also said to be a walking filing cabinet. But I'm far more likely to take risks and be more open to novelty than most SJs I know.
Suggesstions for Si grip
- "Hypochondria" and worrying about diseases (not specific to this situation)
- Tunnel vision
- Obsessing over that tiny thing that may be deadly
- Worrying that people will lose hope in me, getting me stuck
Suggesstions for Ti grip (or Si-Ti loop or just unhealthy Si-Ti in general)
- Being irrational while I'm thinking that I'm completely rational
- Framework being considered too narrow
- Intellectual insecurity (more generally, not specific to this situation)
- Feeling like I'm losing my mind or I have already lost my mind
Suggesstions for Ne grip
- Worrying about various things that may make me lose my life and hope
- I sometimes ask for details and clarity when something new is going to happen (not specific to this situation)
- Insecure with being considered creative and innovative, being conventional is unacceptable for me (not specific to this situation)
I don't think that I'm an IxxP type, or a type that uses Se-Ni. And I don't think that I'm a Te-dom either. I think I'm more of a sensor because when I was 6th grade, I was very keen on explaining details and facts more than the meaning of things, but it may just be because abstract thinking develops in later years. It feels like I have too much Si for an Ne-dom but I'm too open to novelty and I'm too lateral (Ne) to be an Si-dom. I think ESFJ is the most likely type then but ENFP is also very possible. I just think I'm too "sensory" to be an Ne-dom. But if I say that I'm an Si-dom, it seems like Si is both a dominant and an inferior.
