Opinions on the “best” subclass in the game

So me and some friends were debating what is the best subclass in the game for trials.

I said it’s gotta be hunter due to its relatively high floor, and my friend said ttd because of its high ceiling.

Ive maimed TTD for about 2 months (on console) and it just doesn’t feel THAT powerful. Grenades are nothing to write home about, the melee is very good but also pretty situational, riffs are super easy to counter in non zone game modes, and the super is non existent in trials.

Void hunters however get better grenades, good super, melee is worse, and the ability is much much better.

Im aware the sentiment that ttd is the best I just wanna know why?
