Great advice. As a fellow streamer as well. This is gold!

I would say go by this order:

- Audio: make sure you and the overall audio you stream sound good (no peaking, background noises etc.)

- Video: depends on what you want to stream and your hardware, personally I would aim for 60fps streams because it looks smooth. Start off with 720p, if it goes well try 900p or even 1080p.

- Webcam: it is highly recommended since a lot of viewers come for your personality, a webcam helps.

- Overlays: nowadays there are a lot of awesome places to get overlays from (free or paid). Mostly I made them myself because I enjoyed it and I could make it exactly as I want. I would aim for a clean simplistic overall look.

- Stream software: Streamlabs is beginner friendly but if you want to get serious I would just jump into OBS Studio since you can get more advanced with it later on. Watch tutorials and you'll quickly get the hang of it.

Some important advice

Make sure you have an attractive, unique style that you are comfortable with

Do not call out lurkers, they just want to lurk and still contribute to view count

Other tips and tricks

If you have good personality traits like sense of humor and charisma, use that to your advantage. Example having a good sense of humor, use it to crack jokes as long as it is not against TOS or it is not toxic. Use charisma to draw your viewers

Network with others small streamers. Engage with them on their stream chat and do not self promote on their stream chat. If they have a discord self promo channel, make good use of it. You can also raid smaller streamer if you do gain viewers or having friends who watching your streams.

Make your channel public social media page. Use it to make content from your highlight and clips such as tiktok videos and Instagram reels. Use twitter to engage with other small streamers but do not blatantly self promote towards them in your tweets
