Shield Hero s2 impressions?

Hey!
So back when s1 of Shield Hero aired I really enjoyed it. Now I'm not so sure. To be honest I had to watch a recap video because my memories were a bit lacking but I'm still confused.
I feel like I missed at least 5 episodes to really make sense of what is going on and the state of things.
- Why is the green haired girl wearing a filo costume?
- who is that old woman?

Also everyone all of a sudden loving the shield hero besides being despised for generations before feels kinda odd. Removing him being hated as a concept removes the unique thing about the show.

Also with s3 already being announced, are we dealing with a Tokyo Ghoul situation here? I feel like the pacing is pretty fast. Seems like they want to power through everything so that they can wrap the whole story up.
