Solids ?!

Solid Foods

My LO just turned 6 months & I feel overwhelmed by introducing foods. She’s had oatmeal, puréed carrots, avocado, & banana. (She sits up on her own and crawls so pediatrician said I could give her whole foods…?) She goes to daycare so she gets three bottles a day and I’m starting to go at lunch to feed her food and nurse her.

I always hear people say food before one is just for fun but then also that they should have solids so many times a day and a certain amount. So do I need to make sure I’m giving her a certain amount or is something better than nothing?

Also, she’s breastfed so is there a concern for her to refuse the breast? She loves to nurse so I can’t see that happening but what happens if she doesn’t want milk anymore? Does that even happen? As far as BF goes, I’d just like to keep giving her BM as long as she needs to avoid any other types of milk. Is that acceptable? 🤣 I feel lost.

I’d love to just wing it but I don’t want to shoot myself in the foot.

Any information on feeding would be helpful!
