I still get teary every time I look at *How To Say Goodbye and Mean It*.

Yeah, he wrote this three issue series:

I think it’s based on a board game?

I’ve not read it and I don’t really remember him doing much promo for it when it did come out. It’s not within the scope of this wiki and I don’t remember it being discussed on here.

I’d be very much up for him doing some creator-owned stuff but as said, he’s not a professional writer so I can understand why.

I think he write one comic after MTMTE/LL? Has anyone read it? I am probably not going to go to the transformers conference in Birmingham next month and its because I asked James Roberts on twitter and he said he wasn't attending. I really wanted to meet him...

I'm slightly surprised he's done very little since, but also he has a career and being a writer was always secondary to that.

It was the best comic book series out there while it was out. And I can’t think of anything that’s been close since. I can’t figure out how the writer hasn’t been snatched up by Marvel of DC. I was genuinely forlorn for months when it was cancelled.

> “Well, if I had to guess, taking into account all known variables and allowing for every possible outcome, if I had to guess I’d say it’ll take us more or less… forever. What do you think, Co-Captain?”

> “I think forever sounds about right.”

Beautiful ending to the story.

Greatest comic I’ve ever read. Absolute masterpiece. The peak of the media and I’m not even slightly exaggerating

Best story from the best continuity and anyone who says otherwise has personality ticks.

Wan megs became an autobot I thought it was a trap . But as it went on I got more ok I'm liking a good Megatron

Man, I really wish that mmc does a Ratchet sometime.

The Lost Light's adventures were the greatest part of the IDW comics.

Sadly they kinda overshadowed every other part of the continuity...

Trying to find anything related to the first IDW comics run that ISN'T based on something JRo wrote is pretty difficult.

Megatron Origin, the -ations, All Hail Megatron, the Spotlights and pretty much EVERYTHING from Phase 1 is barely given a glancing thought unless relevant to MTMTE.

This sounds like i'm complaining but it kinda IS but ISN'T at the same time...

I love MTMTE like everyone else, it's just i wish people would give some thought to all the other great stories IDW gave us...

I'm trying to make my way through them via my complete Hachette collection but i've only read the first 5 books on the IDW continuity. Procrastination is a bastard.

TL:DR: I love MTMTE but wish the rest of the IDW TF comics got some love too.

MTMTE/Lost Light Appreciation Post!!
