DL to real DL

Hi!

I recently got my permit, and I noticed it was an original DL application. I believe the lady told me I could not get a real DL bc I already have a real ID and I couldn’t have both. She also said that I would have to basically cancel my real ID to be able to get a real DL, and that I would have to do it before my behind-the-wheel test.

I forgot to ask if I could do the ID cancellation process the same day of my behind-the-wheel test or if I would have to do it prior?
