Another Newbie Question

1 week in, and Jellyfin is doing its thing without any issues & I'm enjoying it. ...But....I've been looking around reddit and elsewhere to find an answer which is so far eluding me...Coming from Kodi, I had a folder named TMP. it was a folder where I'd dump X or Y show or movie to preview. Kodi was set to "ignore" it so it wouldn't actually bring any info in regarding X or Y show. Is there any way of doing this in Jelly? I've tried using "Other", leaving the library field blank, unchecking all the "goodies", no go..Jelly always want to bring in all the detail...So can I have nothing more than a folder that I can access via Jelly & view what's in it without having it sucked into the db? Thanks again in advance!!!
