Old pc RAM upgrade

Hello reddit! Please help me chose/replace additional RAM for old pc. It has next specs from CPU-Z:

• CPU: Intel Pentium E5700
• Motherboard: ASRock G41M-VS3
• Memory: DDR3 single channel 2 gb 399 Mhz (?)
• ?SPD: DDR3 2GB Dual ranks Samsung Ser.№ 464383A2 Part № M37885673DZ1-CH9
• Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 430
• Storage: HDD 1tb

Ask you because i know some of older intel cpus cant work with server/amd memory or something.

Chrome works PAINFULY slow and i want to give this pc second life as a pc for my parents to surf internet and watch youtube or films online. If this RAM is slow i consider replacng it with 2x2gb sticks of better RAM.

Maybe later i'll upgrade it with SSD too.

What RAM is the best to search and what to avoid?
