Nintendo switch. Auto save freeze newest update.

So my girlfriend made a world for us to play and about every 15 mins or so it freezes up and it’s really unplayable and the joy of the game isn’t there. Will making a realm world and transferring the world make it not auto save lag? Also we don’t have Microsd cards since we only play a few games. Have ton of storage still left tho. Any suggestions?
