The job hunt begins

Vent

This March marked 9 years at my current company and 7 in my current role. I have two small children and the thought of applying to new jobs, the interview process, and adapting to a new work environment has given me so much anxiety over the past few years but I am at my breaking point. So I’ve just updated my resume and even freshened up my cover letter.

Applied to four new jobs tonight. Hopefully this enthusiasms stays. I refuse to reach my 10 year anniversary. I like my job but executive management and the culture of my company is garbage.

Good luck! I’ve been at my current company more than 10 years and honestly should have left a long time ago. I started really hunting a month or so ago and while I know it’s going to take time, it feels freeing to know that I’m on my way out, hopefully soon.

Good luck! I’ve been at my current company just under 10 years also and I think part of the reason I’ve stayed so long is the thought of redoing my resume, applying and going through the interview process feels like a huge amount of work. My happiness level is also like sufficient but not amazing so it’s easy to just stay. Maybe you’ll inspire someone to make moves as well! (Not me because currently pregnant with my second and going to wait it out until after maternity leave at least lol)

Good luck!!! I’m ready for a change and totally anxious about it too! It’s scary (cover letters are the worst). You got this!

Good luck! I am starting a new company at the end of the month after 10+ years at the same job. I need something with less travel and weekends since my daughter was born and it’s so scary to take the leap, but I know deep down it’s the right choice. Hopefully you find something you love 🤞🏻

Good luck! Honestly apply to anything and everything you qualify for. Go big or go home!

Goo luck dearie! I'm at 6 years with my company and they're making it impossible to remain working from home even with doctor's accommodations notes. Looking elsewhere as well, just scared I won't be able to find a remote job paying $21+ an hour like I make now (really good for my area sadly).

Hope you get something soon!

Good luck! I'm in a very similar position, just started sending over applications a few weeks ago. The company I work for just won't pay people what they're worth anymore, and the "perks" have dwindled since COVID.
