I was just made a verbal offer for my new J2!

I knew it was coming after my second round of interviews earlier this week, as the recruiter had told me everyone loved me and they were working for an offer by today. I’ll have the written offer by end of day to look at over the weekend, but I’m accepting regardless.

I took a break from OE for two months because the last J2 I had was burning me out. I took my time finding something new, as my current J1 is fantastic and I wasn’t in a rush or desperate.

The most exciting part about this is that for the first time in my life (I’m 32), I’ll be making over six figures all on my own, without considering the joint income with my partner. I’m going to pay off my car with approximately 3.5 months of income from this new job! I’m going to secure a six month emergency fund quickly after that! I’m going to be able to fly to see my friend this fall when she has her first baby without second guessing anything. I’m THRILLED.
