Is Reykjavik (and Iceland in general) a ghost town during midsummer in June? Does everyone leave to go on holiday, or is it busy fun atmosphere instead?
Hi guys, I’m planning a trip to Iceland this summer and was considering visiting during midsummer week in June. But I’ve read online that in some places in the Nordic countries (e.g Sweden), people leave to go on holiday / the countryside. And so some cities become ghost towns.
Is this true in Reykjavik? Or instead, is there a busy atmosphere in Reykjavik and Iceland in late June? Thank you!
