Roof in old mobile home has a low spot where water accumulates. Last week it was leaking until it was recently patched. The roof inside the trailer still feels a little moist. I'm not sure if I need to address it or what. Advice and recommendations needed. Videos in post.

Well first off if this post sounds familiar its because I made a new reddit account on mobile and posted while it was leaking a few days ago. Since I used a fake email and a bunch of random letters for a password i just deleted that account now that i have access to my computer and can make a full post.

Okay so to best understand the situation I think its best to first see the video my brother took while on the roof before he patched it; here: (VIDEO #1 in comments)

As you can see there is a line on the roof that extends down the trailer and on top of that line water was accumulating in down by my bedroom.

Now it has been raining on off everyday since so i couldnt exactly get a dry picture but in this video (Video number 2 in comment) i took the day after you can see the rest of the roof of the trailer and everything is dry, except for the puddle that accumulates over my room. Its important to note that even though theres a puddle there and it was patched 24 hours at that point the roof stopped leaking.

Now the day after that day i took the last video i have of it so far, here (video number 3 in comments), and in it you can see the remnants of the puddle and the roof nearly dry and the patch tar work my brother did.

So the good news is that the roof isnt leaking anymore and i can actually sleep in a bed instead of the ground for the first time in a week. The bad news is now i'm always in constant fear of this puddle right above me bursting through and dropping on me.

Now the mobile home has been here for nearly 50 years and we've owned it for 10 and im guessing its always been pooling water there since we havent changed anything so logically i think im fine but now my mind is wondering and its giving me anxiety.

I'm not sure if its old moisture or if moisture is still seeping through (although the leaking has stopped so i doubt it) but if i stand on my bed and touch the inside of the roof it feels wet-ish in certain spots. worst off since the roof is very fragile when my brother when up there the roof on the inside is cracked in many places now, and some chunks have even broken off.

So now i don't know what to do. For one i'm counting my blessing that my roof has stopped leaking, but now i feel like im in a state of limbo.

this whole post has been an insomniac ramble so im gonna try to condense the questions now:

  1. Why does the roof on the side still feel wet after 3 days of not leaking despite constant on and off raining? Is it just the old moisture? Does it take a while for it dry up?

  2. Should I address the puddling/pooling situation? im not 100% sure about prior owners but for the last decade it hasnt been an issue for us.

  3. if I should address the puddling issue how in the world should i go about it? the roof is very delicate. When my brother was patching the line I was holding the roof from the inside to stop him from falling through and the roof was still bending and cracking so its not like i can build on top it much.

Sorry for rambling but i feel like i just needed some people who are smarter than me to understand the full the situation to help me out. I'm extremely poor so I cant hire anyone professionally (even just buying $20 of patching materials and giving my brother 20 bucks to help me ate up my savings).
