Transition from Su-100m1 to Su-101?

So the title says it all...how is the transition from Su-100m1 to Su-101? I hear the tier 8 isn't nearly as good as tier 7, but I wonder, can you still make it work in a similar way you can make 100m1 work? Because I am enjoying every game in that tank and its by far my most consistent performer, I know how to position within it and I don't seem to make too many mistakes. So is 101 similar, same or generally terrible compared to it? And why? Thank you for the answers in advance:)
