[Data Assessment] Help with some word problems.

Hello! I'm preparing for an exam and am having trouble solving these 2 problems I found on a practice test. I’m having trouble eliminating/isolating a single variable. Can anyone teach me how to solve these?

1. Find the % floor space occupied by each vendor
   a. Software vendors - The area for software vendors + service vendors + twice the area for hardware Vendors = 560,640 sq ft
   b. Service Vendors - The area for service vendors + hardware vendors + security vendors = 449,680 sq ft
   c. Harware Vendors - no data given
   d. Security Vendors - The area for security vendors + software vendors = 356,240 sq ft
2. Find the quantity of each vegetable
   a. A total of 2,400 tomatoes were harvested
   b. Corn and green beans account for 50% of all vegetables
   c . Peppers and corn account for the same number of vegetables as zucchini
   d. Peppers and zucchini combined account for 50% more vegetables than tomatoes
   e. Corn and zucchini combined account for 1/5 of all vegetables
