Scrappy Doo and Daphne’s niece

Was reading about Scrappy and apparently early drafts about his backstory was that he was owned by Daphne’s niece, and that this niece was also set to be another new character and join the gang.

Is there any more information regarding this potential character? What would the dynamics be like had there been such a character? I would imagine the whole gang sort of adopting her and raising her, maybe this was the beginning of pushing Daphne to the forefront and centre alongside Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy like they would do in the early to mid 80s, perhaps they also decided originally just phase out only Fred and Velma and reconstitute the gang as Daphne, Shaggy, Scooby, Scrappy and Daphne’s niece.

Interesting that the Blake’s would be involved in the Doo’s, usually it’s the Roger’s family who are associated with the Doo family, though this would explain why Daphne is also very close to Scooby, maybe all three families all knew each other before the gang got together.
