What the HELL is going on with this heat wave

It is too early for this shit. There’s no end in sight to it when I look at the forecast either. What is causing it to get this hot, this early, for this long of a stretch? When is it going to pass? I’ve been looking at meteorology sites and none of them seem to have any conclusive answers. What gives?
