Let's talk about Luke and toxic masculinity.
To clarify, I am not saying that Luke was a toxic character overall. In fact, for the most part, he was great, and I love him just as much as everyone else does. But he does exhibit traits of toxic masculinity, which people systematically overlook, praise or justify. Luke is so glorified that people excuse any type of behaviour coming from him, behaviour that would cause eternal hate if it came from any other male character. Some of his problematic moments happened when he freaked out when a woman was breastfeeding in public, when he made fun of Kirk for carrying a “gay bag”, when he told the soccer team that “boys are boys and girls are girls” or when he kicked a man's car just because he was dating Nicole. The cherry on top was when he drove all the way to Christopher's place just to punch him, a moment that instead of being treated as the epitome of toxic masculinity which it was, it is being constantly glorified. I can guarantee that if Dean or Logan had done the exact same thing to Jess or someone else, not a day would pass without them getting hate for it. Luke Danes is the only Gilmore Girls male character whose occasional toxic behaviour is not only rarely even acknowledged, but often actually glamorized.
EDIT: I didn't remember that Nicole was cheating on him when he did that, but it still doesn't make it right. The guy was not whom Luke should have been mad at.
