Cadence variance for taller runners
Curious as to how much your cadence should vary based on your height. I’m relatively new to running, and have learned a high cadence is associated with being a more efficient runner.
I just ran a 10k today at 51:41, which is a pace of 8:19min/mi. It felt great, and I felt recovered within minutes after the race. I checked my Garmin to see that I only had an average cadence of 144. I’m aware that this is very low.
I am working towards improving my running form and cadence. I am also 6’4 and 210lbs. My height is all in my legs too. I am curious as to what cadence to shoot for.
Any advice helps, thanks!
