Can I get a bandwagon guide?

I haven't been following sports in recent years, but I've been trying to get back into hockey. What is a good resource to get a situation report on the current wild? Feel free to answer yourself too if you're feeling generous.

Here's what I'd like to know:

• Is the roster a bunch of college kids or a bunch of veterans?
• Who are the important players?
• What is the general sentiment among the fans?
• Were they expected to make the playoffs this year?
• Is the coach making the team better (or worse)?
• Are the Blackhawks, Blues, and Avalanche still the main rivals and how we do this year?
(knowing that we're trying to beat the blues for the first time I believe)

Thanks in advance!
