[Rant] Matches are so depressing

Between the DDs, subs, and CVs, half the team line ups are basically untargetable due to either distance or stealth. Then you add a few cruisers too the line up and obviously they are going to hump islands so they are essentially not targetable either.

What you end up is 3 or 4 BBs each side sprinkled around the map and they are the only targets people can hit. The moment a BB's spotted, everyone and their mothers and dogs are launching everything at them.

DDs are too afraid to do anything with subs in play, because DDs are getting out spotted. So spotting is sporadic at best, and most of the time teams rely on a passing CV squad to fire a few shots at whatever they just happen to spot on the way. Once CV spotting is "fixed" the matches are just going to be a staring match with either side seeing nothing.

As a DD main, I assure you it's not any more fun for DDs right now. I feel forced out of playing any of my favorite DDs because of super CV cancer and nakhimov, literally never get support by any other ships, it feels horrible. I can influence towards a win pretty well on certain DDs, like Halland, but it's at the cost of doing like 50k damage per game since I have to play like such a puss. Or I can play selfishly, ignore chat (who 95% of the time doesn't support the DD if it needs it even when the DD spots and contests like a boss for them) and ensure a 100k plus damage game lighting fires running around solo, but jeopardize the win tremendously.

It feels like I'm deciding between a high stress probable win with no damage, and a probable loss with low stress and high damage. Bums me out.

Super CVs are no different that regular CVs for a DD, and nakimov is utterly useless since you can just turn off your AA and that range of his turns into a massive disadvantage

I strongly disagree. The nak skip bombers are amazing at hitting DDs in smoke, and nak can spam them at you if the CV knows how to position. United States jets cross the map faster than a DD can intelligently reposition, etc. Plus the super carriers effects on other ships can very quickly cause any ships that might actually be choosing to support the DD to change their minds and abandon the DD much faster than normal cvs.

Thats why i have not been playing BBs and cruisers alot lately. Too many invisible ships for BBs, and too much 30mm overmatch for my taste as well. Sticking to DDs and the odd CV game or 2 once in a while when i get super frustrated, since they are literally stress free to play. Fuck subs.

So matches without CV are boring for you, is that what you're saying? In most matches there are radar cruisers that provide spotting, when a bb gets spotted everybody shoots, litting them up...

Capable dd players will lit up radar cruisers, and with 30mm present in nearly every single game, they really do need to take care.

If anything, the game needs less spotting. I play because I want to think about vision and positioning (even when I'm bad at it), if I want to mindlessly shoot ships I play coop...

I reckon T4 would be even better if they simply dropped the requirements for all the missions (daily or otherwise) to include it. At the moment, it's T5 and above, and there are so many missions it leaves no time to have the odd game lower down. A shame.

I want to progress the French and Italian lines but grinding all the missions for the dockyard has taken all my time.

My friends and I play at least 1 tier 4 every day to warm up. It's often the most fun game of the day.

There is no such thing as seal clubbing anymore. Tier 9 and 10 are the collection points for the worst players wielding ships they rushed up to in 100 games and a credit card and have no idea how to play. You sit around for 90% of the game doing dick all then there is a mad scramble at the end. Most games are utter blow outs and this is where you see the most CVs and Subs. Tier 10 play is garbage. I enjoy games T4 to T8.

Used to play T10 all the time. Now it's always boring and frustrating at the same time. The lack of game balance shows at 10 more glaringly than anyplace else. You can still have fun playing at V, VI, VII etc. Less terrible play and MM and you actually get better players than higher up. The trash collects at 10.
