What size box is that?
18
The 16 would have fit on the original rack, but we already had the 18...
18 does not fit on the oem racks without interference with the lift gate.
Interesting. Im digging it.
Green with envy here. I have the OEM Pro roof rack. Added it to my ORP as an add on when I ordered it. It didn’t take me long after joining this Reddit that I realized it wasn’t a rack that would work for what I want. Tried to cancel it, but it was already ordered and delivered to dealer. Now I’m just waiting (& saving) to replace it.
Do you have a pic from the rear? I’m looking at adding a skybox or something similar but I want to mount it slightly offset so I can still put my gazelle tent up there. Those things are super inconvenient to pack.
I took it off to stuff the truck back in the garage - but I can throw it back on - what are you looking for?
How far offset you can install this, and roughly how many inches of space you’d have on the side to put a big tent bag.
Pic from the web so show size of the bag.
You get 16 inches with the box fully on the rack, 19.5 with just the hooks on the rack and the box hanging off.
You are amazing. That’s exactly what I needed!
I've been getting ready to put a skybox on and came to a similar conclusion.
Went with Victory 4x4 full length when I saw it was going to be 450-500 bucks for the towers and crossbars from Yakima I figured I might as well get what I wanted instead.

Tore off the largely useless OEM rack - replaced it with a Sherpa - and it's perfect.
My biggest concern was the clearance of the box mounting hooks - but turns out there is actually plenty of clearance:

Have you had any wind noise at highway speeds with just the sherpa? Installed mine 1 month ago and it drones. Not expecting it to be totally quiet just not obnoxiously loud.
Have not noticed any issues, have you tried adjusting the deflector up/down a bit?
Frankly the only drone I generally hear on the highway is the goofy TRD PRO boy racer exhaust...
Edit: Also - keep in mind that I replaced the OEM shopping cart ( this thing https://i.imgur.com/DSe1ERq.png ) that used to be on my roof with this rack - so I can't imagine that this rack with a lower profile is going to be any louder than what I used to have, so my point of reference is going to be very different from someone who went from no rack to - well any rack at all.
