third party tray icons, like caffiene, aren't respecting my plasma icon theme - how can i fix/work around this?

the respective icons for application definitely exist - i checked via the select icon dialogue, they're just not being used. the two examples i have at the moment are the discord tray icons and the caffiene tray icons. im currently using papirus-colors-dark for icons, and using the plasma-meta Arch package
