My plan to leave standard, good or bad?
I'm plotting my escape from the standard universe and would appreciate any suggestions on how i could improve it or sneak any more mastery into it. Currently i have 25% mastery and I'm doing 4* runs...
- Sharkin -> Ent for Madagascar Tree (almost done with this)
- Then i plan to go from Ent -> Sharkin for the Joyless and possibly Steelen challenges. Picking up sharks with lasers and a unification achievement on the way (as well as possibly doomed and pandemonium, if i don't save these 2 for the BH run). I see mixed opinions on whether Joyless/Steelen challenges should be done together, but i prefer a longer run and if i can do them together i figure i may as well?
- Next i will do Human -> Ent -> Something (depending what planets i get from the above bioseed) for my 4* BH run and leave the universe. I intend to pick up white Hole, 99 colliders, Paradise etc on the way out. I'm just not sure which race to pick or to aim for from my Steelen bioseed?
I'd appreciate any thoughts or improvements you can spot! Thanks :)
EDIT - I've already done Valdi, Heir of Genghis Khan, Red Tactician, Great Leap Backwards & Second Evolution

Reminder that other than the Whitehole achievement, any achievement you complete while in Standard will have to be redone in whatever universe you choose to switch to. Decide if it's really worth it to go for all of these other achievements you've listed, as you'll have to do them again after your black hole.
A fair point, the idea was mainly to get some more mastery to make the BH doable, unless 25% mastery would be enough to do it now? And i'm probably missing some vital info here, but i have no intention of redoing every achievement in every universe for an extra 0.25%, only to leave it later. It just doesn't seem worth the time?
The vital info you're missing is that every achievement you earn in another universe also gives you the standard achievement for free, except for those achievements that don't exist in standard. You might also be underestimating just how strong universe-specific mastery is.
I get that, but it still just does not seem worth it. For example say i do a run in standard that gives me 6 achievements worth 6% mastery, if i was to redo that run in another universe from what i understand it would only net me a further 1.5% mastery on top of what i already had, which is basically nothing.
I get that it all adds up to a significant amount, but the thought of redoing every achievement in every universe sounds tedious to me. I'd rather work on new challenges and achievements that i don't have.
Quite likely yes! I just keep reading to get out of standard ASAP and figured a "quick" joyless/steelen run would set me up nicely for a BH out of standard?
The fewer achievements you do in standard, the more of these you will have available to work on.
