Regarding Homebrew Quests (Information Post)
First and foremost: No, they are not being taken down or removed. I have gotten a lot of comments and questions about this, so I figured it's time to address the situation.
As far as I can tell, Hasbro/Avalon Hill does not have an issue with people creating and freely sharing their own Homebrew Quests. The original Quest book even has a "Design Your Own Quest Adventures!" page, which implies their intention. Luckily, we now have the online hQuestBuilder created by u/squidgem0nster to make the process even easier to create and share. Check it out if you haven't already.
Now, concerning what Hasbro/Avalon Hill does have an issue with being posted: The Mythical Quests. I'm not sure if they're working on a future project to sell these Quests or something else, but for now they are Copyright protected. That means we can't publicly post/share those Quests unless something changes.
The Reddit Legal team has removed links from this subreddit to remakes of the Mythical Quests, due to Copyright issues. Other posts with photos/copies of those Quests have been removed in order to prevent the Legal team from taking action against this subreddit. At least one user had a DMCA takedown order issued against their Google Drive because Mythical Quest content was hosted there.
That being said, please continue to create and share your own original Homebrew Quests. There is a ton of great content being posted here and you should be proud of what you're making. There's even an HQhomebrew subreddit created by u/Lord-Drucifer with some great Quests and materials. Stop by and give it a look.
Lastly, I'm looking for a volunteer to be in charge of a new pinned Homebrew post. Someone who is active and willing to organize and update a post with links to the Quests and content that people are making and sharing here. There is new Homebrew material posted daily and it would be great to have it all linked to from one place. If that's your type of thing, let me know and we'll set up a post.
Sorry for the wall of text and thanks again to all of the creative people in this community.
