Anyone on the 3.17.1 PTU can test the scanning/bubble bug?

I don't have access to the game (or can download the PTU atm) this weekend, but those who are testing, can you just do a quick run to see if scanning/bubble distance issue for rocks/asteroids has been fixed/reverted/changed?
Patchnotes say they have made some fix.

OK did get time to test it.
Scanning on the PTU is a bit more stable.
I can use the same method of 360 degrees (it is still going down to 179... wtf??), switch to 2 degrees and scan.
Rocks and asteroids now more consistently pop up with the amount (and halo is way more consistent as before I couldn't get anything reliable).

You can fully scan an asteroid/rock at 2500m to know its composition (and percentages) (requires 2 degrees ping before scan).
Data (not including rock type, still doesn't show I think anymore) you can get at 5000m away (also requires 2 degrees ping before).
Mass (only) is available from 11K or so away.
If you just do pings at 360/180 etc and not go down to 2 degrees, 3D boxes turn to white markers at 2500m and turn to rock/asteroid markers at 1250m (which I guess is double than before).

If you ping something and it doesn't turn to white marker at 2 degrees and is not scanable, it is diamonds.
You can scan only from 2500m away to get a white marker but you still can't actively scan it until 1250m.
Diamonds type you can only know if you are closer (850m or so).

Complete passive wise (fly by method) requires being at 1250m of the rock to have it marked automatically.

So there is an improvement. Not the same as before though.
