A poem I wrote about the song Clair de Lune for my school (Theia Lenore, 2022)

Poem

A Song for the Moon: Clair de Lune by Theia Lenore (Pseudonym)

My dear Luna,

It’s a pleasure to see you in my sight

As I bask in the beauty of your light.

I'm here to play for the crescent Moon

A melody of love named Clair de Lune.

As I revel in the presence of your shine

I’ll play my piano all the way till nine.

I hope you’ll enjoy what I have to play

And this melody brings joy to your day.

I really love and appreciate the personification in your poem! When I was reading this, it felt like a love letter written to someone you simply adore. It was clear from the beginning when you named the moon “Luna”. Clair de Lune is a beautiful song, and I can just picture someone with an acoustic guitar playing a song for the moon. Great job with this poem!
