He really is the only one that can save us. He had a clear vision of who/what would work well and wasn't afraid to take risks. Sadly I think chances He would take over the selection are really slim. :(

Can’t believe Germany had a golden age under him. Afterwards, we’ve only had one fluke.

He truly knew how ESC worked thats why his entries finished in the top 10 every time. I am pretty sure Germany has a lot of people who can bring something great to the selection and ESC. ProSieben could take over but I reckon they think its too expensive.

Private broadcasters actually have way more money than some regional öffentlich-rechtlicher broadcaster, due to commercials.
So, ProSieben would actually have more than enough money to organize great shows and I'm pretty sure they would gladly take over. But they're not an EBU member, so they would have to do a cooperation with ARD/NDR. But those don't want to give it away, as it seems...

The ARD has a budget of about €6.5 billion, of which the NDR gets about €1 billion. This is not such a shit show because of lack of funding. ProSiebenSat.1 Media actually has a €2 billion lower turnover than the ARD and they also still want to make a profit and pay dividend to shareholders.
The reason they might do a better job still is because maybe someone there would get fired if they embarrass us every year.

There is no rule saying the performer has to be a citizen of the country he/she is representing. I mean Céline Dion represented Switzerland in the 80s, that being said.. let's not send DJ Ötzi.

Of course it‘s not a rule the post just sounded like they thought dj ötzi is German. As if Celine Dion was the only Canadian we‘ve sent. It‘s a habit by now lol.
